  Where to begin?
  
  We bought our first house which was a foreclosure and needed extensive work. We acquired a 203K mortgage and was referred to Fit It Right via the bank. Initially, we were thrilled with Bill's assessment of the property and what he could do for us with the $30k or so we had to work with.
  
  The house needed electrical, plumbing, a furnace and A/C, duct work, a bathroom remodel, drywall and some general carpentry and painting. Once the first check was cut by the bank that initial optimism quickly faded. Getting the contractors and subcontractors to show up and meet deadlines was impossible. They only were motivated by threats and brow beating. Now the problem ultimately fell on the shoulders of Bill, the owner. It appeared that he spread himself and his subcontractors thin and basically made them the bad guys. Out of the 5 people that were in and out of our house 1 knew what they were doing. The lead guy was the worst of them all and really wasn't qualified to do much of anything other than hack up a lung at the least bit of exertion.
  
  The work was marginally satisfactory at best. We had issues with deadlines coming and going and things that were promised not being done. The work was to be completed prior to our move in and we ended up moving in without a bathroom to shower in for nearly two weeks. It got to the point we just wanted them out of our house.
  
  Now, 6 months later, we are finding that the work was just as bad as we thought. We have grout in the shower that is coming out in chunks, a bow in the shower wall that is causing cracking, loose shower fixtures, duct work that wasn't connected to anything, circuit breakers that are connected to large portions of the house and who knows what else that we can't see.
  
  Over all this has been an awful experience and really undermined what should have been an exciting fun time. You only buy your first house once.
